FC+ works its magic for the East Side Remix Party

AUSTIN, Texas - It takes a very brave soul to screen-print tees outdoors in Texas. The heat required to dry paint on fabric is no less than 200° F, and what with keeping fruit flies and mosquitoes out of the paint, FC+ will have their hands full on the night of November 15th.

On Saturday, Nov. 15, Big Green House and Vinyl Entertainment are proud to present: East Side Remix featuring the Black and White Years, Built By Snow, DJ Manny, DJ BigFace, and DJ Claude 9. The unique show will combine a live playback of the three DJ's remixes of the new Black and White Years album and a performance from the Black and White Years. Built By Snow will open.

Taking place at the Compound on the East Side, the event will also employ FC+'s unique ability to screen-print onsite. During the show, screen-printing masters from Southside Sanctuary will hand print limited quantities of posters and t-shirts for the crowd. Everyone at the event will be able to see the process up close, and all merchandise will eventually be given away for free.

Headliners the Black and White Years are an electro-pop band on the rise. Their new self-titled album, originally produced by Jerry Harrison of the Talking Heads, has received a significant local following and abundant media attention. They are also receiving frequent radio play on 101X and college radio stations throughout the nation. Recently, the group played at Austin City Limits (ACL) Festival and opened up for The Presidents of the United States of America in several cities.
